Meet The Doctor
Lawrence J. Monaldo, DDS, MBA, ABOMS, Andrew P. Abela, DDS, MSc, ABOMS, FRCD (C) and Flora E. Ocampo, DDS, ABOMS
Dr. Monaldo graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine and Dentistry with Honors. He then complete his residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Fordham Hospital Medical Center-New Your City Hospital Systems. At Bellevue Hospital, Dr. Monaldo continued with his didactic program in Oral Surgery.
He was appointed Clinical Instructor in Oral Surgery at Tufts University Department of Oral Surgery in 1974. His clinical interests include: diseases of the jaw, dental implants, oral cancer, IV anesthesia and wisdom teeth surgery. Dr. Monaldo also enojys lecturing to both dental and medical professionals regarding the clinical practice of Oral Surgery.

Dr. Monaldo is certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, The American Board of Dental Anesthesiology, and a Fellow of the American Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Andrew P. Abela, DDS, MSc, ABOMS, FRCD
Dr. Abela graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.S. in physiology, and subsequently completed a masters degree in pharmacology at McMaster University in Hamilton. He returned to the University of Toronto where at the Faculty of Dentistry he obtained his D.D.S. Andrew then moved to New York where he completed a one-year general practice residency in dentistry at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. His four year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery was completed at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor.
Dr. Abela went on to pursue his interest in dentofacial deformities by completing a one year fellowship in orthognathic surgery at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle. He stayed in Seattle and served as the Interim Program Director of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency Program at the University of Washington Medical Center.
Dr. Abela is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada. Dr. Abela has been in private practice in Massachusetts since 2000.
Flora E. Ocampo, DDS, ABOMS
Dr. Ocampo graduated from Andrews University in southwest Michigan with a B.S. in Zoology and went on to spend the next 8 years at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She obtained her D.D.S. at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Dr. Ocampo then completed a four-year residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Michigan Medical Center.
Dr. Ocampo is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr. Ocampo has been in private practice in Massachusetts since 2000.
